When Brian Ladoon, a sled dog breeder, looked out and saw a giant, half-ton polar bear heading straight towards his pack of dogs there was nothing he could do but fear for the worst and hope for the best.

He knew if he tried to intervene he’d be a goner so he just stood there, watching. Then something so unbelievable happened that if it weren’t for the pictures no one would have believed it to be true.
