The last thing Steve Gustafson thought would happen while trimming his oak tree outside his home at The Villages retirement community in Orlando, Florida was that he best friend named Bounce would fall into the clutches of an alligator.

Gustafson said while he was trimming the tree, Bounce, a West Highland terrier, was hanging out by the edge of a pond on his property. Suddenly he heard a terrifying cry coming from Bounce! When Gustafson looked down he was his dear friend in the clutches of an alligator!

Without thinking, Gustafson jumped into the water and onto the back to the gator. …read more
