Say hello to Hank, an old Bulldog who was getting very depressed, because he was having great difficulty getting up and down the stairs on his own. Just like an elderly person, who needs a little extra care around the house, Hank was having a really tough time and his owners were worried about his safety.

When this dog’s owner had to go to the hospital for eight days, he did something truly amazing: He not only followed him, he sat outside his door day and night, and waited. He wouldn’t leave, no matter what anyone said or did, so finally the hospital staff started to feed him. They gave him food, water, and even snuck him into his owner’s room for a visit. India has a new hero and his name is Ganpat. Not much is known about this brave warrior, except that he has fantastic climbing skills and a heart of gold. The puppy, who had likely been tossed for dead into the well, would not have lasted hours longer in the dirty, disease and bug-infested water.

When the people of this poor Indian village noticed the puppy, no one knew what could be done to save this newborn. Ganpat, of the Animal Aid Unlimited program, was not going to take no for an answer. He risked his life to safe this …read more
