Sunna, Tanami, Sahara, and Moses were all left out in the middle of the Mojave Desert by their owners for reasons unknown. Two of the dogs had tight collars on, and the heat of the sun (the desert temperate can rise to 105 degrees on average) gradually burned those collars onto their fur and skin. Hope for Paws, a rescue organization that routinely goes to great lengths to save dogs, was called in to help, and after a few days of working to find them and gain their trust, rescued all four dogs.

Lena was rescued off a chain and suffered with demodectic mange, which results in patches of ragged hair loss and red, scaly and infected skin. We don’t know how long Lena was left on the chain or by whom, but after she was rescued she was taken to a wonderful shelter and rehabilitation begun. This video shows Lena’s amazing recovery during the first few weeks she spent healing. Dogs absolutely show their pet parents endless amounts of love, but sometimes we need to see just how much they love us to believe it. This adorable Samoyed puppy hops up onto his dad and proceeds to show him so much love and care that it almost makes me tear up! The way he looks at his dad, paws at him and cuddles right up to his face is all the proof we need that dogs are amazing animals who love us uncontrollably. How lucky are these two to have each other?!

Every day in the United States, 14,000 canines are put to sleep… FOURTEEN THOUSAND! It’s absolutely horrifying. This short documentary teaches us the challenges that these homeless dogs face and about people that are doing everything they can to help stop this genocide.

The fact of the matter is that there are just too many dogs to be cared for. Lulu’s Rescue is breaking the rules to try and save these ‘lost dogs’, by helping to spay and neuter dogs, so future litters don’t face a certain death. I just LOVE seeing animals of different species bond. These two are particularly adorable together from the start. As soon as this lamb walks over and sits down next to this Husky, they reveal an immediate warmth between them. The Husky is clearly very comfortable with baby, because he pulls out his toy and starts to chew it – which shows comfort, and a non-territorial behavior. The lamb loves to nuzzle up next to her best friend, and the two give each other the sweetest kisses for the rest of the clip. How amazing is this?!

This is a short, simple video, but it reveals something truly powerful. Lizzy spent 12 long years living in a small cage inside a terrible puppy mill – she never ONCE touched the ground. In March of 2013, the wonderful people at the National Mill Dog Rescue rescued Lizzy, and she immediately went to a loving home. This video shows her in the grass for the very first time. I’m SO grateful to those who saved Lizzy’s life, and for giving her the chance to experience this incredible moment.

Before this Airman left for deployment, he and his wife adopted Emma, a special needs puppy with a severe birth defect. Emma was heartbroken when her dad. Her mom says that Emma usually sits at the end of the hallway when she comes home, but here we see the very moment Emma is reunited with her dad after six months – and instead of waiting in the hallway, she pulls herself to the door to welcome him home. Oh my goodness, how cute!! Mishka the Slovakian Rough Haired Pointer and Mia the Siamese kitten were busted by their pet parent – and it’s just about the cutest thing I’ve ever seen! Here they are, all cuddled up together. Mishka is spooning Mia, and Mia looks so happy to be nuzzled by her canine companion. Seeing them together makes me want to take a nice, relaxing nap… now I just need an awesome dog and cat to cuddle with! What a heartwarming scene!
