This was when I bought Dexter his first doggy pool! He was beyond excited for his first time swimming! Dexter was adopted by my boyfriend after Habitat for Hounds found him abandoned, underweight and with a terrible skin disease. Luckily he made a speedy recovery and is now a beloved member of the family. Dexter is beyond loved and is the sweetest little cupcake ever.

Greg Maley lives in Ohio, but every other week, he travels 42,000 miles to save dogs who would have otherwise faced death. Using a large truck, Greg transports shelter dogs up and down the United States, delivering them safely to loving families. He doesn’t charge much for his services, and but does everything he can to make sure the journey for the abandoned dogs is a comfortable one, even sleeping in the truck with certain puppies when they need extra love.

U.S. military combat dog Layka was shot four times by the enemy at point-blank range, while serving overseas in Afghanistan. It’s a true miracle this amazing hero is alive. There’s no doubt that she saved her handler, Staff Sgt. Julian McDonald and his comrades.

Despite her nearly terminal injuries, she still attacked and subdued the shooter, saving her handler and the other members of the team.
