Oh my goodness, what a little angel baby! Squidget was just TWO POUNDS when she was rescued after a Good Samaritan found her in a parking lot, curled up next to a dumpster. The woman called the wonderful folks at the Michigan Humane organization, who took in the eight-month-old pup, gave her some much-needed medical attention, and groomed her matted down fur to reveal the cutest, most adorable little body. Squidget is very happy and excitable once she warms up, and as you can see at :58, she’s as playful as can be!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a video go from so heartbreaking to so heartwarming like this one. I’m simply blown away by this tribute video to the 100 dogs who, on Valentine’s Day 2012, were rescued by Animal Rescue Corps. Known as “Operation Sweethearts,” This amazing group of heroes saved nearly 100 dogs from a supposed “animal rescue” near Wingo, KY. The conditions there were absolutely horrible, to the point where many of the dogs were on the brink of death. After going for her morning walk, 12-week-old German Shepherd puppy, Rosie, had so much energy and excitement running through her that she caused something unimaginable to happen! The puppy, owned by John Costello of Massachusetts decided to jump in her owner’s car and go for a little drive… straight into a nearby pond!

Zeke the Pit Bull loves running, but sometimes his owners just don’t have the energy to keep going with him! Luckily, a friendly deer walked up to Zeke’s fence one day, and instead of running away in fear, decided to run with Zeke! I agree wholeheartedly with everything this video stands for, and that is to be the best dog owner you can, because it won’t last forever. When you bring home a dog, or any animal, you can’t help but recognize the inevitable… that one day, that animal will no longer be around. Does it keep us from bringing pets into our lives? Nope. But if nothing else, that very fact should act as a reminder to enjoy and love our pets while we can, and to provide them with the absolute most nurturing and fulfilling lives possible.
