Two police officers in Willstown, PA are being credited with saving a dog’s life who was missing from his family’s home for nearly three days. The officers received a call about a dog who was found trapped in a muddy water bank nearby a stream. The 13-year-old dog was in dire condition after spending days submerged up to his neck in the cold, wet mud.

For two days, a stray dog now known as Nelson was running on an Ontario highway in -40 degree weather. Finally, he was found scared and in a ditch – but no one claimed him as their own. That’s when an amazing group called Animal Advocates took Nelson in. It wasn’t until the first doctor’s appointment that they confirmed Nelson was completely blind, yet it was clear he had a heart of gold.

This is a love story for the ages.

Magic was a stray dog living on the streets of North Carolina. Cold, hungry and without a place to live, Magic gave birth to 6 puppies and made a ‘home’ for them under a log in the thick of the woods. After about two weeks, Magic decided her babies deserved better, so she did something amazing. She went to visit a woman who had been feeding her, and led the woman into the woods where the puppies were living. Hope for Paws is a wonderful private charity organization that rescues animals, helps them recover and then find new homes for them. They’re all-around superheroes, because it certainly isn’t easy. As you can see in this rescue video, it takes a long time to rescue and restore these severely unhealthy and wounded souls back to health.
