A 5-year-old Boxer mix who goes by the name Adam is now safe and sound after a heart-wrenching rescue from an Indianapolis river.

Adam was on a fishing trip with his owner Timothy at the city’s White River, a spot they have been to countless times before. According to Timothy, his dog usually will take a dip in the river while he fishes but today something unusual happened, Adam started to swim out towards a log 50-feet from shore.
