Now this is one modern family. At the Badaling Zoo in Beijing, China, a pet dog became a mother to two very unlikely pups.

When a mother wolf and panther gave birth to many cubs, they were both unable to make enough milk for all the babies. That’s when zookeepers stepped in and hoped a surrogate mother would be able to step in a nurture the young animals.
