Shelter animals are not broken, and this hero’s story is proof. Hunter and his father were abandoned in a dry lakebed. For months, Hunter had no human interaction whatsoever. While facing brutal conditions outside, Hunter and his dad made a gulley their home and barely survived on little food and water — until a Good Samaritan found the dogs and brought them to a rescue.
