Debby Cantlon is the first person her friends think of when they encounter an animal in need. For most of her life, people have came to Debby to seek help when they encounter a lost or injured animal, as she has always enjoyed helping living creatures.

Debby suffers from cancer and says that caring for and rescuing animals helps her condition and acts as therapeutic for her. While it wasn’t surprising that someone asked Debby to take in a newborn squirrel they found fallen from a tree, what happened when the squirrel arrived was unbelievable.
